the 2025 Report to the community

Where the funds went in 2025

With so many wonderful people helping, donations raised, and meaningful connections we made in 2025, we were able to send out many donations.
Read about some of them below, and help us do it again.
Every penny donated to us goes directly out to help us bring our relatives home.

Funding Directly to Several Families

We build lasting relationships with the families we honor in the MMIWMemorialGrove. Those relationships we hold very dear. There are times when those families come to us directly with a need that is associated with their loved ones that we honor in the Grove.

Special Requests are given directly to our memorial families for things like memorial service costs, funeral costs, ceremonies, court costs, search and rescue supplies put on by the families only, scholarships for schooling in the name of one of Our Loved Ones, and anything along those lines to help their communities left behind.

With respect and love to those families, we are withholding their names at this time. Send them good thoughts as they navigate an emotional life event.

This is another group close to my heart.  They have been a great support for the Grove.  They work hard to get the word out.  This sums them up perfectly and is taken directly from their website:

We are a grassroots movement. We ride to bring national awareness and resources to issues impacting our indigenous relatives. We are not experts, and we are not waiting until experts arrive. We're just women on motorcycles who care about something that affects us. We are getting together, and we're figuring it out as we go along.

Digital Memorial Grove

Link to our Loved Ones

Let's not forget who this work is for. The MMIW Memorial Grove stands as a beacon for victims of Missing Murdered Indigenous Women/People. We offer a safe haven for those in need of healing, and spread awareness and education about the plight of Indigenous communities in need. The Grove is not using its own donations, but sending the donations to organizations listed on this page.

Do not forget, we are here to honor our loved ones, gone too soon but not forgotten. This memorial has been made with permission from each and every individual family whose loved ones never came home.

For those that live far away, this might be the only place some families have to visit and remember their family members. By visiting that page, please remember those people, their lives, and those that they left behind.

Here is the digital memorial grove.
